What to Anticipate From the Heat Procedure

The duration of the heat treatment might range from 8 to 12 hours. We’ll get started at 8 a.m. and wrap up by 5 p.m. How long a course of treatment will last depends on a number of factors.

Considerations include:

  • The home’s age and style
  • The number of objects to be cleaned
  • Whether or not the basement has been finished
  • Whether or not the garage and/or vehicles need to be treated
  • How easily we can reach the property with our service truck.

Greater treatment time is not usually associated with larger dwellings. Each dwelling is unique, and the answer ultimately depends on how the furnishings are distributed around the space. That’s why it takes longer to clean a tiny house full of stuff than a big house with few possessions.

An outline of how we’ll spend those eight to twelve hours is below.

  • In the range of 30-60 minutes. One hour for a home inspection and consumer questions.
  • It will take us around three to four hours to set up our equipment, which includes:
    •  Turning on the propane and finding a power supply
    • Installing fans within your home (to circulate the hot air)
    • Turning on the propane heater inside the house.
  • It will take three to five hours to bring the temperature inside the house up to 130 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping your home at a constant 130–140 degrees Fahrenheit will protect your valuables from being too cold (below 122 degrees).
  • 1 Hour to shut down and packing of equipment.

15-30 minutes for powering down and stowing away machinery. After the service has been rendered, Pestbuser’s The Bed Bug company and the client will go over the results.

Soon After The Bed Bug Heat Treatment Process

After the heat treatment is finished, your home will no longer appear the same. Our personnel were inside your home during bed bug heat treatment process, keeping an eye on temperatures and rearranging furniture as needed. In order to ensure that everything gets the same amount of heat, we have to move things around. We apologize in advance if we cause any inconvenience, but the limited time we have to do our work in such extreme heat prevents us from putting things back where they belong.

Beds will be raised off the ground and resting against the wall, cushions will be removed from couches, pictures and curtains will be taken down, and drawers will be opened and garments removed as necessary.

After the bed bug heat treatment, you should let the house cool down on its own. The use of fans and a few cracked windows is strongly suggested. After the home has begun to chill, only then can the air conditioner be switched on.

We suggest doing a thorough vacuuming of the house to remove any dead insects, eggs, or castings before starting the cleaning process. You can use this to keep track of how things are going over time.
